Final Blog: 20% Project Reflective Review

For my 20% project, I decided to review and post walkthroughs for iOS Apps. That''s what I've been working on throughout the year, and last Friday I presented what I did. This is what I think about my 20% Project:
I think that I did good, I reviewed and posted walkthroughs for a lot of apps, but I think I could have done better, I think that I could have reviewed more apps, I didn't review a lot because it took time for me to play them and convert what I played into words. It was kind of hard to describe what was going on in the game, but I did it anyways. I thought about changing my project a couple of times but I didn't know what else to do. So I decided not to change it, and stick with what I planned to do from the beginning. I didn't start reviewing apps right away because I tried to make my own website and post the reviews and walkthroughs there but it didn't work out very well, the websites that I made all failed. So I decided to post the reviews and walkthroughs here, on my Blogger. I don't know how many apps I have reviewed. But my estimation is about 124 apps throughout the year. I think that I did good on my presentation, well I did better than I thought I would. I have posted 31 Blogs including this one. Doing this project was actually fun, I got credits by playing on my phones. I got to see apps that I didn't know that they existed. People can come up with some stupid apps. It was fun doing this, but I will not continue reviewing apps, College is more important, and plus, I am no longer getting credits out of it, so there is no point.
Thanks for the reviews, I honestly didn't expect this amount of reviews, if you have any comments, send my a message or comment on any of my posts, thank you and have a great summer break.

Stay In The Line

Stay In The Line is an easy game, it doesn't need much description. All what you have to do is touch and drag the dot through the line, and no matter what, do NOT drag the dot out of the line.
That's all what you beed to know about this game. I didn't like this game, it could have been created better.

White Tile 3

Yet another White Tile game, this one has 4 different modes that, well, differ from Piano Tiles. This one does make piano sounds too. Crazy mode, it's like arcade mode but there are some red tiles, DO NOT PRESS THEM, you'll lose. Race mode is racing agaisnt the timer, there are levels on it. Colorful mode is the same as arcade but the tiles that you have to press aren't black they are 'colorful'. Lastly there is multiplayer mode, split screen between you and whoever you want.

App Of The Week

This week's best app isn't a game, its for traveling. Kayak, it's for hotels, cars, and flights. So there isn't much to talk about, but if you travel a lot you should use it, it makes it easier to find flights and hotels.

dEXTRIS

dEXTRIS is a fun game, I would say it's an arcade game. It's like an arcade mode game. There are two small squared tiles with the colors green and purple, and you have to avoid spikes by either clicking or touching the right side of the screen both tiles go to the far right, if you click on the left side, the tiles will go to the far left, and lastly, if you click on both sides, they will separate and the left tile will go left and the right one goes right. The game gets faster and faster, and some spikes don'trequire tapping or touching, by leaving them in the middle you could avoid spikes. This game requires speed, your thumbs have to be fast. My high score is 42-yes, it is that hard for me. Comment your high score.

Flappy Bird: New Season

This is the closest app to the original Flappy Bird. I looks the same, it sounds the same, it's like its the original Flappy Bird. Whoever made this one, he or she really pulled it off. So all what you have to do is tap the screen at the right time, don't keep tapping and don't tap fast. Just leave a second between each tap. My highest score on the original Flappy Bird is 83. Comment your high score (it can be on this or the original Flappy Bird, they're all the same).

Make It Rain

'Make It Rain' is a fun app, I doenloaded it and its really fun to play. It's all about investing, you start with 0 dollars, you have a stack of unlimited money to swipe and to get some, the faster you swipe, the more X you get. X means times, like X2 and X3, and if you keep swiping you'll get a X50. You start with one domlar bills, keep swiping to get enough money to imvest, you can invest to help you in three different ways, to increase the amout of bills that you swipe, the amount of money you get per second that only works when the app is open, and a bucket that you can increase how much capacity it can hold (money) and how much you get per hour, make sure to empty it every hour because it works (it fills up) even if the app is not open, if you don't empty it when its full, you are wasting your money. And when you make a large amount of money all of a sudden, you'll get a spinning wheel, you'll spin in and it will stop on something that will determine your case. (ex. giulty, not giulty, and you can bribe them). So far, I make 119.24K per second (when the app is open), 10K per swipe, or per bill, and 2.48M (million) and hour in the bucket with a capacity of 2.66M. So it takes about an hour and twenty minutes to fill up.

Toilet Time

This game includes multiple games, it has games that requires you to do things you are most likely to do in the bathroom. Like smashing cockroaches, rooling down toilet paper, saving your stuff from falling into the toilet, etc. It's just a mind challenging game in bathrooms. It was created to entertain you while you're in the bathroom, doing your 'business.'

Weed Firm

Yes, it's called Weed Firm. This app is literally all about planting weed and dealing with what a weed planter deals with. You can sell weed, get caught by cops, and have costumers. Not much of an app but its funny.

100 Balls

100 balls is a fun game, you start with 100 balls and start with 3 cups. The cups number increases to 7 cups, they go around like a fares wheel. You have to press to let go the balls into the cups and try not to moss any cups because if a cup goes around empty, the cup would fall off. After a couple of rounds, the cups change color, first a cup turns green, then blue, purple, and the last color i got to is red. I don't know what color comes after red. The colored cups turn the balls into that color, and it gives you a bonus. The balls are colored yellow, and when the green color appears, all balls that drop in it turn green and stay green, until they fall into another colored cup, then the balls would turn into that colored cup. So the whole point of this game is not to have a shortage in balls, try to keep them equal, or have more balls than cups.
My high score is level 26, 1363 points. Comment your high score.

Piano Tiles Update

Now I know why they changed the name to Piano Tiles, it's because the new update included a new sound when you press the black tile. It makes piano sounds, it has Fur Elise symphony, twinkle twinkle little star, and some more songs. I like it better now. The new update also included two new modes, Rush and Relay. Rush is like Arcade mode except that it is counted by seconds. Relay mode is like Classic mode but Relay mode counts down from 10 to 0.

#1 App: Make It Rain: The Love Of Money.

I haven't played this game yet, but I read the descriptions and it's all about investing, it teaches you how to invest if you had a lot of money. But you will have difficulties keeping that money, like FBI investigations, bad investments, etc. All what you have to do is make smart decisions to keep your money and to get more. I think of it aa an educational game, it teaches about the economy and how to invest in businesses, and how to be rich. It really helps in future real life situations.

2. 2048

2048 has been number one and two fr about three weeks, it's a fun game. I have reviewed this app before, it's about swiping squares that have numbers on them. And they add up, it starts from the number 2 and the. it goes on, you have to get to 2048. Only squares that has the same number on them can be combined.

1. Piano Tiles

1. Piano Tiles may sound like a new app but it's not. It's just a new name for Don't Step The White Tile, It's just a new name for it because there is another app called Don't Step The White Tile that came out first. However; when you download it it'll show 'White Tile' as the name for some reason.
How to play:
You just have to tap on the black tile, not the white ones. There are different types of plays. Classic, Arcade, and Zen. In Classic mode, you have to reach the green space as fast as possible. In Arcade mode the tiles move by them selves downwards, they move towards you, and you have to tap all of them, you lose if you miss one, and it goes faster and faster. Arcade mode is the best one. Lastly, Zen mode, in Zen mode you have to tap as many tiles as you can in 30 seconds, so it's a timer.

Ridge Racer Slipstream Review.

There is nothing much to say about this app, it's just a racing game, where you race. It is a campaign like other racing games, it's fun to play though, I have kept it for a while but then deleted it because I have Asphalt 8, a better racing game you should check it out.
ENJOY!

Social Networks that are in the top ten apps.

The social networks that made the too ten are not going to be reviewd because they just require freinds and followers. The networks are:

5) Snapchat.

7) Google Maps, (not social but its just a map on your phone).
9) YouTube.
10) Facebook.

Smash Hit Review.

Smash Hit is a really fun game, the camera just moves and glasses and crystals appear on the screen, it's like you're flying, and you tap to hit the glass, but if the glass hits you, you lose ten balls. To gain balls, you have to hit the pyramid shape structures called crystals to gain three balls, if you hit ten crystals that appear in a row, you can throw two balls at once and it will only count as one ball, you can keep hitting until you can get a maximum of five balls per tap, and it would still count as one ball, but if you miss one crystal, you go back to one ball. The screen gets faster each level, and it shows crystals that will give you five balls if you hit them. It gets harder each level or each gate in which you have to open by throwing one or more balls on a circle shaped button. You can play from where you lost, you lose when you are out of balls, but in order to do that you have to pay 99 cents. If you don't want to pay, you will have to start from the beginning.
My high score, which is measured by distance, is 7304. Do you think you can beat that ? email me your score at moe.yousef.alhasan@gmail.com
ENJOY!

Don't Step The White Tile Review.

Don't Step The White Tile is a Japanese game, it's fun and addicting. It's kind of like don't step on the lava, except here, you have horizontal rows with one black tile in each row, and you basically have to tap on the black tiles only. There are three demos or types of games you can play, Time Attack, in which it measures your time, Long Run, in which you have ten seconds to reach a high score (no end) you just do a little better each time, but if you go fast/tap fast, it gives you ten extra seconds, and lastly Stopping Just, you just have to stop exactly after ten seconds, it would show a drawing of a shark saying stop but it's not as easy as it seems, the countdown from 10.00 seconds disappears after the fifth second, so you won't be able to fully know when is it going to hit the 0.00 seconds.
ENJOY!

2048 Review.

2048 is an adding app, where you have a grid and squares show up with numbers on them, and then another square shows up and you have to swipe it to be added to the other square only of they are the same number. A new box with the number two keeps showing up and you have to add it with another box with the same number on it. The best way to wim this game, by which will happen when a box reaches the number 2048, is to have a maximum of two boxes, because they will keep equalizing each other and then add them up. Oh ane it doesn't add two each time you add two boxes, it addes the numbers on the boxes together. For example, if there were two boxes with the numbers 16 on them, you swipe them together and and you will end up with a box with the number 32 on it. It only goes by a certain pattern, which is 2,4,8,16,32,64,128,etc.
ENJOY!
